Some of the Prophecies Fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth
First century AD/CE Jewish Christians made such prolific use of many of these prophecies that attempts were then made by some rabbis, such as Akiba, to alter their meaning by changing the vowel pronunciation of the Hebrew text. The vowel-pointing system of the Hebrew pronunciation as we have it today was only developed several centuries later. Fortunately, pre-Christian textual sources such as the Septuagint version and some of the Dead Sea scrolls help us verify their original meaning.

He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.' The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined."
Matthew 4:12-16
"Now when He heard that John had been arrested, He withdrew into Galilee. And leaving Nazareth He went and lived in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: 'The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles – the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned'."

Matthew 26:14-15; 27:3, 6-7
"Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, 'What will you give me if I deliver Him over to you?' And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. ...

But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, 'It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is blood money.' So they took counsel and bought with them the potter's field as a burial place for strangers.
