From there, Israel's Defence Ministry sold the aircraft to the private firm, Globus Aviation. Officials said the end-user for the MD-500 was to have been either authorities in Mexico or Spain. However, the helicopters have ended up in the hands of Colombian drug dealers.

Wednesday 21: Israel releases Israeli nuclear technician and whistle-blower MORDECAI VANUNU (Jewish Christian) from prison after 17 years , 5 months and 10 days (more than eleven years of which were spent in solitary confinement, with the light permanently on), for supplying information and photographs to the Sunday Times of London on Israel's nuclear weapons of mass destruction programme at Dimona in the Negev desert, which showed Israel to have the world's sixth largest arsenal of nuclear weapons. Monday 23: In Israel – Physicians for Human Rights-Israel calls upon Minister of Interior Security TSAHI HANEGBI, Minister of Health DANI NAVEH and Israeli Prison Services Commissioner YAAKOV GANOT to retract their statements regarding the prisoners on hunger strike, and to observe medical ethics and international conventions while treating the prisoners’ strike and to seriously regard their demands. Thursday 11: YASSER ARAFAT (ياسر عرفات), first president of the Palestinian National Authority (20 January 1996 – 11 November 2004), dies in a Paris hospital at 4:30 this morning age 75, apparently from radioactive polonium-210 poisoning, according to tests done by Institut de Radiophysique in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2012, which found 180 millibecquerels of Polonium-210 in a urine stain in his underwear, more than 20 times the dose necessary to kill an average human being.
This verdict is confirmed by Swiss scientists in November 2013 by the level of polonium-210 in his bones.
