— LOVE IS THE TRUE ROOT OF JUSTICE —
ITS EXISTENTIAL SOURCE
Justice is NOT defined by legislation.
Legislation is simply the supportive legal infrastructure of a society which is useful to implement justice. The root and true character of justice is always determined by the character of the Creator of all, and any variation is a violation of that character.
For this reason the Lord Jesus Christ (blessed be His name) summarized the whole legislative code given by God to Israel at Sinai, and all the words of the subsequent prophets to them, as –
| 1. | “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the great and first commandment.

| 2. | And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

God's court is not that of a royal potentate. God's court is a court of justice –
| 1. | “the LORD sits enthroned forever; He has established His throne for justice” |
| 2. | “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before You.” |
Psalm 9:7;
Psalm 89:14.
to the Flood of Noah, God mandated humanity to implement justice directly, using the greatest crime representatively –
| “From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man. Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in His own image [i.e. to represent Him].” |
Justice delayed is justice denied.
Victims of injustice are often treated merely
as witnesses, and their ownership of justice for their injury is
frequently violated without local authorities even realizing this. Assertion of this
right may even raise justifiable fears of vigilantism and warnings to
not take the law into one's own hands. But it is only in the hands of
a court and its officers by proxy on behalf and for the sake
of God and the injured party, no matter what the court itself may happen to believe.
Accordingly, accountability by law officers to the victims of a crime for progress made in the investigation and the resolution of an injustice is an essential for the implementation of true justice.
finality of all injustice will end before God at a time described in the last book of the Bible as the great White Throne judgment –
“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it. From His presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.”

which flows only from this throne and only to the truly repentant through the man Christ Jesus.
