PREDESTINATION | ![]() |
Sometimes | people use the term 'predestination' when what they are actually thinking of is 'fatalism'. | God does not micro-manage He gave us responsibility! |
Fatalism is a pagan teaching and has no reality whatsoever to God's continuing relationship to this world.
The only predestination which the Bible knows is that –
all who belong to God, through their election 'in Christ', are predestinated by God to become-like-Christ! |
Sadly, | the term 'predestination' has become commonly confused with the concept of God's election or choosing of His people in Christ. The word itself simply means to set or fix the destination. |
The concept is most clearly stated by the Apostle Paul in Romans –
Romans 8:29. | ||
This | is the only predestination the Bible knows.
Simply said – a believer is born-again in order to become like Jesus! |
