1:2 "והארץ היתה תהו ובהו וחשׁך על־פני תהום ורוח אלהים מרחפת על־פני המים׃ "
"ἡ δὲ γῆ ἦν ἀόρατος καὶ ἀκατασκεύαστος, καὶ σκότος ἐπάνω τῆς ἀβύσσου, καὶ πνεῦμα θεοῦ ἐπεφέρετο ἐπάνω τοῦ ὕδατος." (LXX)
"The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters."
The Spirit of God hovered over – means the Throne of God was suspended over the waters.

LXX = pre-Christian Jewish translation of the Old Testament (T'nach) into the international Greek of that time.
ESV = English Standard Version
Genesis 1:5 "ויקרא אלהים לאור יום ולחשׁך קרא לילה ויהי־ערב ויהי־בקר יום אחד׃"
"καὶ ἐκάλεσεν ὁ θεὸς τὸ φῶς ἡμέραν καὶ τὸ σκότος ἐκάλεσεν νύκτα. καὶ ἐγένετο ἑσπέρα καὶ ἐγένετο πρωί, ἡμέρα μία." (LXX)
"God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day." (ESV)
First day is literally Day of the One which means that only God existed, so there were no angels until the second day.

Genesis 1:11 "ויאמר אלהים תדשׁא הארץ דשׁא עשׂב מזריע זרע עץ פרי עשׂה פרי למינו אשׁר זרעו־בו על־הארץ ויהי־כן׃"
"καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεός Βλαστησάτω ἡ γῆ βοτάνην χόρτου, σπεῖρον σπέρμα κατὰ γένος καὶ καθ᾿ ὁμοιότητα, καὶ ξύλον κάρπιμον ποιοῦν καρπόν, οὗ τὸ σπέρμα αὐτοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ κατὰ γένος ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς. καὶ ἐγένετο οὕτως." (LXX)
"And God said, 'Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed,
each according to its kind, on the earth.' And it was so."
Earth was instructed that trees and their fruit should taste the same but it disobeyed therefore the earth was cursed with Adam.

The sun and moon were the same size but the moon was diminished because it complained that it was not practicable that two kings should have the same crown, and the stars were then created as satellites of the moon to appease it for being diminished in size.

"Seventy Weeks [490-years] are decreed about your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression,

... Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem
to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks [49-years].
Then for sixty-two weeks
[434-years] it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time." (ESV)
Seventy Weeks (490-years) – is from the destruction of the first temple [586 BCE] to the end of the second temple [70 CE].
So the '490-years' which God promised is then from 586 BC/BCE to 70 AD/CE (which is actually 655-years), really???
So, Israel entered her צדק עלמים of messianic "everlasting righteousness" in 70 CE when she was slaughtered by Rome?
Really? — On what planet???

Sadly, it also
needs to be noted that Israel's use of God's commands in His Torah during the time of Jesus exemplify the dishonesty of the Jewish religious leadership that He faced. For instance, the Pharisee HILLEL had established a legal procedure of prosbul to circumvent the Sabbatical Year cancellation of loans, prescribed by God in Deuteronomy 15:2. So that by prosbul a Jewish religious court could now assume responsibility for collecting the debt (on behalf of the lender) to technically free the lender from any responsibility for freeing the borrower from the debt. This corrupt practice is later canonized in the Jewish Mishna in total violation of the purpose of God's written instruction.

addition to some of the above fanciful rabbinic interpretations, it also needs to be remembered that no spoken language is ever static, and that this applied to Biblical Hebrew over the period of the recording of the Holy Scriptures as to any other human language, so therefore to interpret ancient Biblical terms in the light of later medieval Mishnaic Hebrew can also be very misleading, as has been evidenced in various well meaning but misguided interpretations of Rashi and his colleagues (e.g. Genesis 6:3; and 41:40).
