Fake Christianity
Fake Christianity is a religion of good moral formulas extracted from the text of Holy Scripture.
Authentic Christianity is at essence a vital personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.

This
formulaic–religion of fake Christianity is so close to real Christianity in its appearance and practice that it is not possible to know the difference unless one is spiritually born-again and personally aware of a direct relationship to the Lord Jesus Christ.

The
Christian Gospel is not a proclamation of moral living in the name of God.

It is a revelation of God which brings the 'prodigal' running home to the 'arms' of a waiting 'Father' (Lk.15:20).

It
is very tempting, and a strategic sleight of hand of the Deceiver, to simply leave God in the background as the Source and so focus instead on His promises, and on what appear to be God-given 'formulae' for blessed-living, because personal life-style benefits do tend to preoccupy us.

However,
the Bible indicates that both the Lord Jesus (Lk.5:16; 6:12), and His Church in its beginnings (Ac.13:2), lived out of a personally-intensive direct-interaction with the person of God as a regular devotional lifestyle-base.

This is written as more than an historical record. It is an example presented for the followers of Jesus to follow!

To turn away from this – is to turn away from the way of Christ.

The fruit of the Spirit which identify a Christian (Gal.5:22-25) are not ideals to follow. They are the natural result/effect of this intimate personal relationship with the Lord.
Jesus
set Himself as the example for us to follow in all things, both personally and in His practical ministry –
"Jesus stood up and cried out,
'If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said,
'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water'.'
(as it flowed from Christ to the 'thirsty')
Now this He said about the Spirit,
whom those who believed in Him were to receive ..."
John 7:37-39.

This last quote has been very misrepresented as referring to the taking of Mass or Holy Communion, but this is a deception to take it back to a formula/ritual rather than to a personal practical devotional relationship of hearing God.
The Lord Jesus
Note Isaiah's prophecy of Christ's prayer-life as being the source of His ministry:
Isa.50:4-5.
had previously said that His own personal devotional lifestyle was to be the same source of life for His disciples also –
"AS the living Father sent Me, and I live because of [feed from] the Father [in His devotional life],
SO whoever feeds on Me, he also will live because of Me. "
(John 6:57)
There is no other way to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ,
i.e. a Christian.
