The Bible teaches that Christ's glorious return interrupts a final world-war war described as Armageddon which would have resulted in the annihilation of humanity.

To appreciate the final future of humanity one needs to understand the background of humanity. This began in a specially prepared garden in what is today in eastern Turkey in a region from which the Euphrates and Tigris river had their common origin, and then descended historically in two distinct steps to out present general world-wide condition.

began in this prepared garden environment in a childlike trust relationship to its Creator, and the violation of this trust necessitated their removal so that they would then become subject to the natural environment, from which they had previously been exempted because they had been designed to represent God to His creation. The name 'knowledge of good and evil' or conscience (Genesis 3) for the forbidden tree describes the consequence of their human conduct and not the quality of its fruit, as also its associated tree of life, whose unique fruit was designed to negate/neutralise the natural aging effect which was built into all nature from the beginning, including Adam and his wife.

This first is associated with the expulsion of the first human pair from their special environment and its description in the change in their experience of (1) giving birth, and (2) their gender relationship, and (3) their finding food. The garden itself was not removed, so as to represent their lost fellowship with their Creator and towards which then their worship was directed. Sadly, this necessary step down in their experience is described as –

This judgement of God incorporated a statement of judgement on the most crafty of animals which would became a legless serpent, but is later referred to in the book of Revelation as a dragon (20:2) because it was the humanity's first experience of Satan's interference, and which we would probably describe today as a dinosaur. But Adam's response incorporates hope for, although not yet a mother, he now names his wife as Eve (life-giver), from the incorporated prophecy that her descendant ('seed' singular) would crush the head of their deceiver.

The second step down occurs after the global extermination of a mutating humanity, which begins again in a family of eight from the godly prophet Noah. Sadly the continued moral decline of humanity had reached a stage which allowed supernatural genetic interference (the nephelim) and this required its termination after a 120-year warning period. After the family's terrible experience of 370-days shut in their special floating barge as the world they knew is destroyed and drowned, they emerge into a situation which they had never known before. In the face of this, several necessary changes are imposed upon them by God which also now continue today. These are –

These changes in human experience are also against the background of a significant change in climate, resulting from their planet's loss of its water-vapour canopy which before its collapse in the first forty days of the global tsunami had shielded the atmosphere from a level of cosmic radiation, and which consequently now significantly affects human longevity. the coming time which introduces the beginning of the complete restoration of the original design status of human experience and is the worst of all times.

who is faithful to His people, only opens the door to Satan's Antichrist-subterfuge in this world (2 Thessalonians 2:11) when His people can handle the horror. That is, when their spiritual maturity (Ephesians 4:13) has enabled them to complete the commission given to them by Jesus as His precondition of the end of this age –

which causes Satan's expulsion from his platform of accusation in Heaven's Court (Revelation 12:10)

and his consequent anger, when, in attempting to exterminate the descendants of Abraham, god-fearing nations oppose it and he then initiates total control or complete annihilation of humanity (Revelation 12:15-13:18).

This is the situation which culminates in what the Bible refers to as Armageddon, the unprecedented final world war.

And then that which God began in creating humanity in the beginning — will be fully fulfilled through His costly persevering love.

Christ's glorious return introduces this phased total restoration of all humanity forever –
which begins with the resurrecting of all believers of all history into Christ's resurrection to share His rule over all creation.

But the trauma, in the aftermath of an interrupted Armageddon and tectonic plate shifts associated with Christ's return (Zechariah 14:5), is still initially present, and Christ's governance is completely unlike the dictatorships of this world.

the Bible tells us that after destruction of the Antichrist's empire, the populations of this planet are initially governed by one of three past political systems (to fill the political vacuum of the collapse of Antichrist's empire), represented historically in the dictatorship of Babylon, legislative governance of Medo-Persia, and democracy of the Hellenistic city-states of Alexander (Daniel 7:12). And so the personal response to the direct rule of the Christ of God on this planet is described then as process in which –

This is not a Jewish issue. This is not a temple ritual sacrificing dead animals.

atonement annulled forever the significance to God of the blood of sacrificed animals (Hebrews 10:4). So progressively now, by economic inducement ("rain"), all populations of this planet representatively enter immediate encounter with the King of kings until the whole earth knows Him directly!

It is now, and not before, that the Lord restores national Israel to its land,
given forever in conditional covenant to the descendants of Abraham through Isaac –

this recovery-phase is not forever, for the character of Christ's rule is the character of the heart, a transformation of intent, a full reorientation of attitude, until the experiential knowledge of God rules from within – over the whole earth, everywhere –

Therefore in this time, to demonstrate the reality of God's grace to all nations world-wide, the antagonistic activity of the Tempter is temporarily removed from world history (Revelation 20:3), until the above Scripture is fulfilled. But righteous character can never be downgraded to custom or habit. It must always involve individual choice, therefore at the end of this phase the Tempter is again allowed access to the peoples of this planet and he tries a repeat of his interrupted Armageddon.

Now comes the end of all disobedience, as human history is suspended, for every creature, outside of God's mercy in Christ, to directly face the totality of justice,

The throne of God is presented here symbolically as "white" for in the ancient world that colour represented victory,
and this is the final victory of God's character in absolute justice over all. Hallelujah!

This is not a vendetta against fishermen or fish. The prophet Isaiah explains for us that "sea", with its restlessness always throwing up the muck of the past, simply represents that which is out-of-tune with God our Saviour –

But not so the Righteous, for they trust Him beyond understanding as a little child trusts!

The future of all humanity is restored, in full fellowship with its Creator, to represent His ways in every situation, to all that exists, which is now complete and forever!

And this renewed humanity to God's original design, can now be fulfilled in nature restored, and so child-bearing looses its pain, animal communication is restored, etc., forever!

So the focus of the future is not on an eternal holiday home in Heaven — but on the original purpose for all things being finally fulfilled forever!
